Numbers become a profile
A personal profile, connected health data, a Health Score and the first leveling idea shifted the focus from individual results to long-term development.
After the first calculators, a problem quickly emerged: individual results say little about how a person is developing. In November, the focus therefore shifted from the tool to the person behind it.
This early monthly retrospective was reconstructed later from the roadmap and the later state of the project. The Git history available today does not fully cover this early phase, so the text describes the traceable product development rather than a day-by-day chronology.
A profile connectsindividual values
A personal profile was the first step toward not treating every result as new and isolated. Data should belong to a person and be connected over time.
That created a foundation for the later idea of bringing different areas of life together in one shared identity.
The Health Score as anearly experiment
A Health Score was intended to make multiple pieces of health information easier to read. The basic idea was understandable: many individual values are hard to overview, while a summarized development can provide direction.
At the same time, it became clear early that a person should not meaningfully be reduced to one number. Later systems therefore became more differentiated and distributed progress across multiple areas.
Once values belong to a person, a snapshot becomes a development.
The first leveling idea changesthe direction
The leveling idea raised a clear question for the first time: how can real development become visible in a game-like way? Not only measure it, but present progress so it motivates.
This idea later developed into XP, stats, achievements and ranks. In November it was still small, but it gave the project a new direction.
