MONTHLY UPDATE/UNGEWÖHNLICH
June 2026
Many areas becomeone product
New onboarding, mobile navigation, a design system and the companion shifted the focus from individual features to one shared product experience.

In June, the central question changed. It was no longer only: which feature is still missing? Instead: how does LevelUpLife feel as a whole? Many existing areas needed to feel like parts of the same product — from the first minute of onboarding to everyday navigation.
This monthly retrospective was reconstructed later from the roadmap at the time and the project history available today. Development was not recorded as a complete diary, so individual steps can no longer be assigned to exact days.
Onboarding for thewhole system
As the feature set grew, getting started became harder. New onboarding therefore should not explain every feature, but communicate the core idea: you are the shared center and the different areas work toward the same personal progress.
That also meant reducing decisions. New users should not have to understand the entire system before they can take their first meaningful step.

Navigation and design speak thesame language
Mobile navigation and a more consistent design system helped bring together areas that had grown differently. Repeating patterns in cards, buttons, status values and transitions make a large product easier to understand.
The Collection added another layer: progress and unlocked elements could be understood more clearly as part of a connected experience.

Many features do not yet make a product. A shared experience is what turns them into a system.
The companion becomesa guide
The companion developed from a visual element into a guide through the system. Especially with many features, a recurring companion can help direct attention and make more complex flows easier to understand.
June was therefore less a single-feature month and more a product month: existing parts should finally feel like LevelUpLife.
