MONTHLY UPDATE/UNGEWÖHNLICH
July 2026
The move towardnative features
Location services, training notifications, push, app shortcuts and custom sounds brought LevelUpLife closer to the operating system.

In July, the difference between a mobile website and a mobile app became increasingly important. LevelUpLife should not merely work on a smartphone, but use its capabilities meaningfully: location, notifications, shortcuts and audio became part of the product experience.
This monthly retrospective was reconstructed later from the roadmap at the time and the project history available today. Development was not recorded as a complete diary, so individual steps can no longer be assigned to exact days.
Running needs more thana browser
A stable native connection is crucial for routes and location data. The running area was therefore designed more deeply around native location capabilities so activities on the move can be captured more reliably and later placed in the context of personal progress.
At the same time, running became more closely connected to the rest of the system: a run is not just a route, but can influence training, endurance and personal development.

The app reaches you atthe right moment
Training notifications and native push extended LevelUpLife beyond the open screen. Reminders should help where they serve a real purpose — for example with planned sessions or important events.
App shortcuts followed the same direction. Frequent actions should be faster to reach without requiring users to navigate through several layers every time.

An app feels native when it does not merely run on the operating system, but works with it meaningfully.
Sound and ranks strengthen theproduct feel
Custom sounds and stronger rank logic may initially look like small details. Together, they change how consistent the system feels. Feedback is not only read, but heard and understood visually.
July was therefore a month in which LevelUpLife moved closer to the platform — technically, but also in how interactions are perceived.
