MONTHLY UPDATE/UNGEWÖHNLICH
January 2026
Everything becomes connected
Accounts, profiles, shared navigation and data storage connected previously separate areas while quests evolved into a planning system.

In January, several good individual ideas became a more unified system for the first time. Accounts, profiles, navigation and data storage created the connection needed so nutrition, quests, knowledge and later areas no longer felt like separate projects.
This monthly retrospective was reconstructed later from the roadmap at the time and the project history available today. Development was not recorded as a complete diary, so individual steps can no longer be assigned to exact days.
A shared appstructure emerges
Accounts and profiles gave data a more stable personal context for the first time. At the same time, shared navigation became more important: moving between quests, calculators and new areas should still feel like moving within the same product.
The Git history available today begins in this phase and, alongside the initial repository state, shows early work on CI, type checking, database schema and security. That fits the transition from an experiment to a more structured application.

Quests become planning
Quests started as tasks with a game-like name. With calendars, categories and recurring tasks, they became a system capable of structuring real days.
The important step was connecting motivation with time. A quest should not merely exist, but have a place in everyday life — with recurrence, context and understandable priority.

January was the moment when several features became the same app for the first time.
Knowledge, notes and gamification growwith it
Knowledge and notes expanded LevelUpLife with things that are not directly measurable. Not every kind of development consists of training or numbers; sometimes it is about capturing thoughts and finding information again.
At the same time, gamification became stronger. The pattern that would later shape the Life Core slowly emerged: different areas of life, but one shared sense of progress.
